I am all about the food giving. 'Cause, you know, food is like magic. If it's good food it's like an instant happy boost. And I don't think you can get good German food that many places around the city, never mind here. (Are you one of the city people with Amanda and Doug and Marie-Ange?) Sooooo if you're all German, which you are, then good German food is like, um, I dunno, comfort food or something. Not that you necessarily need comfort or anything but you know what I mean.
Oooooh more recipes?! I am totally down for recipes. I get Herr Wuschelig to teach me something new every week. Because I am so awesome for actually, you know, doing my class work and shit.
Yes, I am one of the city people, and I appreciate what German food I can lay my hands on. Especially when it is not cooked by me.
Doing class work and shit does deserve its rewards. How about this then? I shall give you one German recipe for every successful German dish you make me. That way, either I will run out of recipes first or you will run out of interest. (Although, if I have exhausted my list of German food, I suppose we could move on to French cuisine, no?)
Is your Herr Wuschelig still a charming shade of blue?
Oooh, cool. I still don't actually know where you guys work or live or whatever. I mean, I'm sure someone does, I just don't 'cause I don't need to. Well, yet. I'll figure it out before there is epic schnitzel!
You sooo underestimate my love of food. Especially German food. And no, I dunno why. I'm gonna blame like my freshman year German teacher. Well, the first one I had that year before I had to change schools. He was awesome and all about learning culture from their food and I can translate like most of the words used in recipes really easily. Uh...conversational German, though, is like, more touch and go. Me and a five year old can totally have a rockin' conversation. (But, dude, no French food. That's all like cream and snails and shit and dude, no).
Yep! And fuzzy and all rockin' his flying through the air circus skills. He's teaching me those too.
Technically I'm German too (I was born there), and I'll eat anything you put in front of me, pretty much. ;) And Meggan is also German, the two of us being Blue's sisters and all. ;)
Well I thought you guys were like adopted in your family or something. Did I make that up? So, y'know, speak German but maybe not German. But, uh, I guess that sort of doesn't even matter now I think about it. 'Cause if you were raised by German people you probably ate German food all the time huh? Okay, I will add you to the Schnitzel Brigade.
It's complicated and not. I was born in Germany, but lived in England since I was two and then found the family again when I was seventeen or so. Kurt and Meggan are both adopted into our family, but they were both born in Germany and lived with our family longer than I did.
Long story short - I love me some schnitzel. And fish and chips. And probably haggis. They didn't call me the Bottomless Pit of Brighton when I was a student for nothing. ;)
